Krapetz
Cityscape: Calm open space
Krapetz is a small and quite seaside village. It is located
90km from Varna and it is known for its wildness and bird life. The village is
perched on the beach, surrounded by vast wheat, sunflower fields and wild nature
reserves. The area of Krapetz is a low plateau, slightly elevated and inclined
towards the sea. The Black sea coast is low, combination of ochre cliff sections
and beach strips with sand dunes. Hidden in rural solitude, Krapetz an ideal
place to get away from the hectic city life and crowded resorts . The village is
surrounded by one of the largest beaches on the Bulgarian seacoast. The sand
dunes are very natural and the village still keeps its wilderness and
authenticity. The sea around Krapetz is very calm and pure, without ebb-tide and
dangerous fishes.
Worth seeing

Just a kilometer northeast of Krapetz is the Dourankoulak
lake, the most significant and best preserved coastal wetlands in Bulgaria,
with international importance for the protection of over 260 endemic, rare and
endangered species of plants and animals.
