Krapetz

 

Cityscape: Calm open space


Krapetz is a small and quite seaside village. It is located 90km from Varna and it is known for its wildness and bird life. The village is perched on the beach, surrounded by vast wheat, sunflower fields and wild nature reserves. The area of Krapetz is a low plateau, slightly elevated and inclined towards the sea. The Black sea coast is low, combination of ochre cliff sections and beach strips with sand dunes. Hidden in rural solitude, Krapetz an ideal place to get away from the hectic city life and crowded resorts . The village is surrounded by one of the largest beaches on the Bulgarian seacoast. The sand dunes are very natural and the village still keeps its wilderness and authenticity. The sea around Krapetz is very calm and pure, without ebb-tide and dangerous fishes.

Worth seeing

Just a kilometer northeast of Krapetz is the Dourankoulak lake, the most significant and best preserved coastal wetlands in Bulgaria, with international importance for the protection of over 260 endemic, rare and endangered species of plants and animals.
