1. Privacy policy
This policy explains how we may collect information about
you and then use it in order to satisfy your reservation requirements. It also
outlines the security measures we take in order to protect your privacy and
gives certain assurances on things that we will not do.
When you book a hotel we collect your name, e-mail address,
mailing address, phone number or mobile number. We also collect and manage
database in which we record previous reservations you have made in order to
create patterns which enables us to improve the service we provide and make it
more personal.
1.1 Use of information
We will use personal information about you for a number of
purposes, including:

changes or problems with your hotel reservation

1.2 Disclosure of information
We do not sell or disclose your personal information to
other companies without your prior consent. We do not sell mailing lists to
third parties.
1.3 Protection of information
We maintain strict security measures in order to protect
personal information. This includes following certain procedures, for example
encrypting data on our website and in order to ensure compliance with all
applicable legal requirements.
2. Reservation terms and conditions
The availability and booking facilities on the
www.mareatravel.com website is provided by Marea Travel Agency. Marea Travel
Agency acts solely as a booking agent for the hotel(s) it books. It neither
represents individual hotels, nor makes any warranties as to their suitability
for your stay.
2.1. Hotel rates
All the rates displayed on our site are per night and for
one room (single, double, triple, etc.). All prices include service and local
taxes. Breakfast is also included if not written otherwise in the hotel
information section. The applicable currency is shown on every page of the
“Hotels” section lists.
2.1.1 Fares and special events
Certain periods such as international and local
exhibitions, trade fairs, congresses, conventions, holidays, sporting events,
etc. tend to attract high occupancy and rates at hotels. These periods are
accompanied by special terms and conditions imposed by hotels, generally there
might be requirements for minimum stay, high room rates (usually exceeding hotel
rack rates), longer cancellation and prepayment terms. We will advise you of
specific rates and terms for each particular “fair period” booking upon your
reservation and/or upon confirmation and you will be free to accept or decline
and cancel.
2.1.2 Group reservations
Group bookings are subject to longer cancellation terms and
early prepayment. You will be advised of the particular terms for each group
booking upon confirmation from suppliers. Should you fail to comply with payment
deadlines booking will be automatically cancelled and we will not accept any
subsequent claims and/or complaints from you. Hotels usually regard party of 10
persons and over as a group.
2.2 Vouchers
The vouchers you receive from us will entitle clients to
use the pre-paid services, strictly as specified in the voucher in terms of
particular hotel, period of stay and type of services. All additional personal
charges, such as phone bills, laundry, room service etc. will be settled by
clients directly with hotel upon check-out.
2.3 Air tickets
All the air tickets we offer are from the Global
Reservation System<< Amadeus>>. In order to guarantee our clients the price
offered we have to receive in the reservation request the correctly written
names of the passenger. This way we make a reservation and provide the client
with TIMELIMIT for the ticket. After the reservation is made it stays in the
Amadeus system until the day of the TIMELIMIT. After that day the reservation is
automatically canceled by the system if not the ticket has been issued.
2.4 Useful information
Hotel information appearing on our pages is strictly as
provided by the hotels themselves and we cannot accept claims for incorrectness
of details.
Special requests such as non-smoking rooms, adjoining or
interconnecting doors, high or low floors etc., will be forwarded by us to the
hotel and guaranteed UPON confirmation by the hotel.
Our office is open Monday to Friday between 9:00am and
6:00pm and exclusive of weekends, public and national holidays.
2.5 Payment & Invoices
Payment options we accept: credit card payment (VISA,
Mastercard and Dinner’s), bank transfers and cash. When we receive payment we
issue original Invoice with all the details provided by the client. The client
must provide us with legit details and we are not responsible if the information
is not correct.
2.6 Liability
We act only as an intermediary in making arrangements for
hotels, transportation or any other travel services. As such we are not liable
for an force majeure, personal injury, illness, property damage or other loss or
expense of any nature arising directly or indirectly out of any actions of
hotels, airlines, transportation companies or any other person or company
providing or rendering services reserved through us.
3. Cancellations
For the majority of hotels regular individual bookings may
be cancelled without incurring charges. For European hotels – at least 2
business days prior to arrival (excluding reservations for periods of fairs and
special events – please refer to the Fairs and special events above (2.1.1).
In certain cases some hotels might impose longer
cancellation deadlines, which will be forwarded to you with the booking
confirmation.
3.1 Cancellation fees and no-shows
3.1.1 Hotels
If you cancel after above deadlines or fail to arrive at
hotel, hotel will charge a minimum of one night in late cancellation fees. We
will do our best to avoid cancellation charges and will only charge you if
hotels charge us.
3.1.2 Air tickets
If canceled the air ticket is usually non-refundable,
especially the tickets in the low-cost reservation classes. However we shall
provide the clients with restrictions information with every confirmed & issued
ticket.
3.2 Refunds
3.2.1 Hotels
If clients decide to shorten their stay at hotel they
should demand from the reception manager on duty to sign his consent upon your
check-out – this will enable us to file for refund for your unused nights.
Refunds have to be confirmed by the hotel and we will not
be able to refund you if we do not receive refund from the hotel.
3.2.2 Air tickets
Refunds information shall be provided with every confirmed
& issued ticket as it depends strictly on the tariff of the air ticket.
